ciao a tutti
qualche giorno fa mandai una email a mike king per chiedergli qualche informazione su alghe e muschio e il tipo di substrato che usa e lui mi ha risposto che usa fibra di pino.
grazie a giulio pandeli oltre aver scoperto il cocco come alternativa alla torba ne abbiamo scoperto un altro:il pino[/S.
inoltre mike mi ha detto che nel substrato di pino non si formano ne muschio ne alghe...

Hi Luca,
It looks like slime mould and usually you get this when you compress the soil substrate. I get this on peat sometimes. I have never seen a plant die from it, but it does prevent air getting to the roots.
I am using milled pine bark instead of peat and coconut fibre and it is completely weed free and no sign of slime mould.
